The earring are designed and created by SYEP (Summer Youth Employment Program) students from Ward 8, Washington, DC, during the Yoni Love by Maui Co. training program. Through hands-on workshops, students learned how to transform discarded materials into beautiful, functional fashion accessories while developing entrepreneurial and design skills.
Each item s made from upcycled fabrics, including reclaimed denim and repurposed textiles, giving new life to materials that might otherwise end up in landfills. No two items are exactly alike, making every piece as unique as the young creator behind it.
